United Way for Clinton County applied for and was awarded an additional COVID-19 Grant for $98,868 through the Lily Endowment and Indiana United Way to support three impact areas in Clinton County.

This grant is set up in three tiers and to make a bigger impact with larger amounts of money awarded for Early Childhood Education, Mental Health and Homelessness.

The first tier of funds for early childhood education has been distributed. United Way invited Early Childhood Education programs to the table to apply for the grant funds. Three grants were awarded to The Community Schools of Frankfort ($43,808.47), Clinton Prairie Pre-K ($5,463.53) and Bauer Family Resources ($10,000). Community Schools of Frankfort will be able to sustain their current 3rd Pre-K classroom at Suncrest, Clinton Prairie will purchase room furniture, curriculum, STEM toys, and a shed. Bauer Family Resources are providing “Buddy Bags” for their children who are on the waiting list who will receive educational materials until they are able to attend in class sessions.
