United Way for Clinton County’s grant cycle for Not-For-Profits in Clinton County begins Friday, March 3rd. All applications must be submitted to United Way no later than noon Friday, March 31, 2022. Applications received after that date will not be accepted.

An agency being considered for United Way support must meet all United Way eligibility guidelines which are as follows:

  • Agencies must be non-profit and have a 501(c)(3) status from the IRS
  • Agencies must provide human service programs/projects
  • Agencies service area must be Clinton County
  • Agencies cannot request funds for general operating support
  • Consideration will be made for funding programs of schools and governmental organizations, as long as they are specific and discreet programs/projects and not covered by tax funds

The Not-For-Profit Organization must submit an application for a program that addresses one of the following goals of our mission statement:

Financial stability – move people out of poverty, financial literacy, and transportation
Education – enrichment programs designed to ensure children and youth achieve their full potential
Health – affordable health care, mental health and counseling, alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention, dental care, and general health and wellness

Our focus for 2023 continues to be in the areas of Cradle to Career, and mental health.

Each funding application must clearly identify and describe the specific program to address these community needs. Applications requesting funding of general operations will not be considered.

If applying for more than one program, a separate application for each program must be submitted. Application(s) are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023.
